accommodation, madrid Room Mate Alicia

Located in the very nice and crowded in the night Plaza Santa Ana this hotel is one of the Room Mate's chain. Compared to the Oscar Room Mate (in the gay district Chueca), the Alicia's a little bit more expensive and doesn't have a public pool, but it's more central and better furnished. The Junior Suite is fabulous!!! I've got the chance to sleep in this room 'cause I was upgraded the third time I came here. The bed was super comfortable and the room was in two floor with also a private terrace with a sort of small pool and a wonderful view on the Plaza. I really enjoyed my stay!

An amazing and very big park in the heart of the town close to Puerta de Alcalà and Prado Museum. Take a tour and don't miss the Palacio de Cristal, a wonderful building in glass in front of a quiet small lake where you can rent a little boat and have rest.

shopping, madrid Sixties

If you are a girl and you like sixties dresses and stuff you must enter in this small and colored boutique. There are a small selection of groovy shirts, skirts, cocktail dresses and accessories made in small production. Very original!

El Rastro Market is a fun activity to have sunday morning. Ignore the main street where there are lots of stands full of cheap dresses and not very interesting things and walk through the side small streets where you can find Antiques and second hand goods, but don't forget to watch your pockets! El mercado de El Rastro at the Plaza de Cascorro and runs down to the "Ribera de Curtidores".

outdoor & sport, madrid Jardin del Principe de Anglona

The tiniest park of the whole world, I guess. It's in Latina district and it's too small to have a walk, but if you are visiting the district or if you just had a drink in one of the nice bar in the square, take a look, it's adorable!

restaurant & food, madrid El Original

Restaurant "à la mode" with an amazing design (there are real trees inside!). The food is good, the price are not the lowest you can find in Madrid but don't forget you are in a very nice restaurant in the heart of Chueca.

restaurant & food, madrid Restaurante Con Ache

Tasty tapas and iced cold beers in a nice and wide square in Madrid. I won't come here to have a real and complete dinner but for a drink or a snack seated outside in summer is perfect.
