Elegat, yet cozy, frenchy, yet truly Irish it's one of my favorite restaurants in Dublin. The food is very good - going from the traditional Lamb pie to fancier fish dishes - and never disappointing. It has a very good choice of wines as well.
In the elegant neighborhood of Ballsbridge, Ariel House, a lovely red brick house, is a perfect spot for a romantic escape in Dublin. Not too far from the city center, in quiet and green surroundings, this guest house is cozy and refined. Comfortable and warm. The Irish breakfast is strong and delicious and all pastries and breads are warm and crispy, served in a lovely bowindow room with a view of the little garden.
After few days in Dublin you might want to experience a delicate meal in a light refine place, Fallon & Byrne is what you are looking for. In the central street of Exchequer you'll notice a fine deli with delicious loose leaf tea and other exquisite groceries. Well upstairs lays an elegant yet cozy french restaurant. Perfect for a quick light but tasty lunch or for an elegant dinner.
If you are in Wicklow after a nice walk in the beautiful and magic surroundings your appttite might be strong as an Irish stew, so that's a perfect place to rest and recover from the Irish rain. Food is true and simple, yet very tasty, beer is fresh and service extremely nice and friendly. And if after your Guinness Stew with mashed potatoes you want a cup of tea, you'll have an entire pot of good loose leaf black tea. Better than at home!
